A subway slashing suspect fled after cutting the face of a passenger at the Beach-60th 'A' Train station.

At 1:30am, overnight from Saturday into Sunday, the suspect approached a 21-year-old man sitting in the subway car in Rockaway and slashed the left side his face with an unknown object. There are few details available concerning the attack, but there did not seem to be any prior interaction between the two men and the attacker said nothing before cutting the victim.

The suspect then fled the elevated station in an unknown direction, but was caught on security camera footage wearing a dark blue Nike jacket with red and white across the chest, jeans, and white shoes. He is described as a black male, approximately 26 to 28 years old, 5'8" tall, and 140lbs.

Although suffering a large cut to his face, the victim is expected to make a full recovery.
