Check Out Planet Jupiter Over New York City

See Jupiter up there in the sky?

Jupiter seen over the East Village around 11pm on Sept. 29th

This weekend, if you find yourself out after the streetlights come on, take a look up in the sky and catch a glimpse of Jupiter!

All month long, Jupiter will be one of the brightest objects in the sky, rising in the East just after sunset.

Want to get a closer look? Stop by the High Line every Tuesday, when the Amateur Astronomers Association has a star-gazing night on the High Line, where you can look through a telescope and get help finding objects in the night sky. Check the AAA website for more info and other events.

If you snap a pic of the planet, leave a link in the comments!
